Fife Crescent, Bothwell

Having previously successfully achieved Planning Consent for three separate houses within the curtilage of a former detached villa on Bothwell's Fife Crescent, the Riach Partnership were approached to develop proposals for the house on Plot 2.

The original three houses were designed on the basis of rotating geometry to exploit the full development potential of the site and, in doing so, aspects of orientation, over looking and natural light were all considered.

A palette of reconstituted stone and render pick up on the existing materials of the street with slate roof tiles and timber glazed, sash and case windows resulting in a contemporary take on the traditional, detached villas of the area.

The house on Plot 2 is a five bedroom detached villa with open plan living and dinning spaces on the ground floor. The kitchen and study both have direct access into the rear garden and communicate with one another to promote socialable, family living.

The upper floors contain the master suite and additional bedroom suites with a large bedroom / games room located within the roof space.

A separate garage completes the accommodation, accessed from the shared courtyard which sits at the end of the communal driveway.
